Medical and Emergency Disclaimer
In My Care is not an emergency service
If someone may be seriously unwell or in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service or a qualified medical professional in your country. Do not rely on this app, on a chat message, or on a notification to raise an alarm.
What this app does
In My Care is note-keeping software. It records and organises care information a family types in, so they can share it accurately between themselves. Your subscription buys access to that software and nothing else.
What we do not sell or supply
We do not sell, supply, prescribe or dispense medicines, supplements, medical equipment or any other physical goods. We do not provide healthcare services, consultations, telemedicine, diagnosis, treatment or clinical monitoring, and we are not a medical device. No clinician reviews anything entered in the app.
What this app does not do
- It does not diagnose medical conditions.
- It does not prescribe or adjust treatment.
- It does not independently verify medical instructions entered by a member.
- It does not clinically monitor anyone.
- It does not detect deterioration or prevent emergencies.
- It must not be relied upon as the only source of medication information.
Medication
Always confirm medicines, doses and timings with the prescriber or pharmacist. A doctor's recommendation recorded in a visit or a change request does not automatically change an active medication schedule. A coordinator must review and apply the change.
Health readings
Readings recorded here are entered by family members using consumer devices, which may be inaccurate or wrongly transcribed. Ranges shown in the app are configurable reference ranges, not clinical thresholds. A single reading should not be interpreted on its own or without context, the app does not determine whether any reading is clinically safe, and concerning readings or symptoms must be reviewed by an appropriate professional.
Medication warnings
- Medication entries are typed in by people and may contain human error.
- Always confirm the medicine, dose, route, timing and instructions against the latest authorised prescription or professional direction.
- A note recorded in the app is not a prescription.
- A reminder appearing in the app is not evidence that a dose is appropriate or due.
- If you think a dose has been missed, duplicated or given incorrectly, seek professional advice.
Reminders and notifications are not guaranteed
Reminders, alarms and push notifications can be delayed, silenced or missed because of device settings, network availability, browser restrictions, battery optimisation, notification permissions, operating-system behaviour or service outages. In My Care must never be the only reminder mechanism for critical medication or for emergency care, and delivery of any notification is not guaranteed.
Responsibility
Members remain responsible for the care they give and for following professional advice.
